Adhav Asana or Prone Posture is basically Reverse Corpse Pose or Shav Asana. It is a relaxation Asana meant to ease out whole body. As its name suggests it is exactly the reverse of the Corpse Pose. This Asana is classified under the Hatha branch of yoga which is known to greatly benefit your physical self. It is a simple Asana to perform and is mainly aimed at relaxing all your body parts and thus making you experience an utter state of relaxation. It is also termed as the companion pose for relaxation in which you lie on your stomach with your arms along the body and palms towards the floor.
TECHNIQUE
Lie down on your stomach.
Stretch out both your arms forward on either side of your head.
Relax your whole body as you are required to do in Shav Asana.
Stay in the Asana in completely relaxed position for sometime.
Now loosen yourself and get relaxed.

This Asana can be done as long as you want and feel comfortable. Know your capacity and practice this Asana for as long as you are at ease with it.
