CHIN MUDRA
Chin Mudra Pranamaya or Hand Gesture Breath is one of the best Prayanama Mudra and helps open the lower lobes of lungs.

Chin Mura
TECHNIQUE

Sit in any comfortable sitting position like Sukh Asana, with the spine in a upright position.

Place the tips of the index fingers and thumbs together, and stretch the other three fingers out.

Turn the palms upwards, and rest the backs of the hands onto the knees or thighs.

Close the eyes and breathe naturally, through the nose.

Chin Mura
Try to maintain awareness of each breath moving into and out of the nostrils for two or three minutes.

BENEFITS

Chin mudra opens the lower lobes of the lungs.

It stimulates Apana Vayu, the Prana which moves down, from the navel to the perineum.

In physical terms it is in charge of the elimination of the body’s waste and toxins.

In more subtle terms, it is in charge of letting go.
